Recently I decided to animate my elf character from warhammer fantasy campaign i'm playing, and to simultaneously test ebsynth too. Unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations :( I made a short head turn and painted over first and last frame. The lines get blurry, and instead of morphing into each other they seem to fade in and out. Probably adding even more painted frames will solve the issue, but I dont think I'll have the time and budget to paint every two/three frames, so I am thinking of sticking to painterly backgrounds and flat characters, but with well pronounced shadows and silhouettes

I still finished the scene in a more traditional way. Not the exact look I wanted, but not bad either.

It was really nice to finally animate something frame by frame. i had a really looooong break from it, sticking mostly to moho the past two years. Unfortunately my last film exausted me a lot with the technique, to the point I convinced myself that I both dont like animating and cant animate xd. While animation itself is not in my top of things i like about filmmaking, and I think there's still a long road to go if it comes to craftsmanship, making this short animation made me remember that i actually enjoy doing all that.
